Outdoor Venues

The temperate climate in Cairns generates great demand for outdoor events and the Sebel Cairns Hotel offers Twin Peaks, the open air, fully covered 400 seat venue adjacent the beautiful sparkling swimming pool.

From an intimate candlelight dinner in the gazebo to a cocktail party for 600 or 400 people banquet style, this is the ideal outdoor, all weather setting for a variety of function requirements. It is within the function precinct known as Daintrees, a 2675 sq m (3/4 acre) poolside area capable of holding 600 people for cocktails or 400 people banquet-style.

Restaurants

Kingsford's - Main Restaurant

Kingsfords, the Sebel Cairns Hotel's signature restaurant, was named after Richard Ash Kingsford, Cairns' first Mayor and grandfather to Australia's most famous aviator, Charles Kingsford Smith.

Kingsfords is one of Cairns' most awarded restaurants and offers inventive Australian cuisine influenced by the flavours of the Mediterranean and Asia. At Kingsfords, the focus is absolutely on the food and the flavours enjoyed when complemented by the perfect wine - selected from the delectably wide-ranging list.

Signature Dishes include Hot Rocks - Grain Fed Tableland Tenderloin of Beef served on a Sizzling Volcanic Rock with Japanese Dipping Sauces, or Flame Grilled Moreton Bay Bugs with Grapefruit, Chili and Lemon Grass Butter Sauce.

Genkai Japanese Restaurant

Genkai Japanese Restaurant brings an authenticity to the Japanese dining experience that is unparalleled anywhere in Cairns. Skilled chefs prepare traditional Japanese fare featuring fresh local seafood. Choose from A la carte or Teppanyaki and enjoy the flavours that have made Genkai Japanese Restaurant the focus of much international acclaim.

Genkai Japanese Restaurant is immediately adjacent to the hotel in Village Lane situated on the Ground Level.

Café Coco

At Café Coco the choicest ingredients are sourced from the lush Cairns Tablelands, the chefs wander out to the trawlers and have the pick of today's seafood haul. The artistic chefs innovatively create an experience that is as memorable as it is affordable. Café Coco offers casual buffet style dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and an alternative snack menu selection is available.

It is here at Café Coco at the Sebel Cairns Hotel that the locals gather for the ever popular Sunday Brunch offered from 11.30am.

Lobby Bar

The Lobby Bar located on the Ground Level is adjacent to the magnificent foyer. The Lobby Bar is the perfect place to meet for an impromptu business meeting or a social gathering. Light snacks are available all day and live entertainment is featured nightly.

The award winning bar attendants can create the most tempting and exotic cocktails - which feature in the cocktail tasting sessions each Friday night from 5.00pm to 7.00pm with complimentary finger food.

Rum & Raisin

Now if you are looking for a coffee shop to satisfy all your hunger desires then Rum & Raisin is the place to enjoy a quick snack or a light lunch. Sebel Cairns Hotel's Rum and Raisin is a licensed coffee shop, situated in Village Lane adjacent to the Hotel and offering air-conditioned comfort or al fresco dining, Rum & Raisin serves soups and salads, foccacias, sandwiches and rolls as well as chocolates, croissants, gourmet cakes and pastries all baked on the premises. All food & beverages are also available to take away.

OPEN: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 3:30pm

Rum & Raisin is adjacent to the hotel in Village Lane situated on the Ground Level.
